Windsor undoubtedly has a strong association with English royalty, and if you’re coming to stay in serviced apartments in Windsor then there is a very good chance that you are one of the well over one million people who come to visit the castle there each year. You can arrive at one of two train stations, Windsor & Eton Riverside and Windsor & Eton Central, with both stations running GWR services and Windsor & Eton Riverside also running South Western Railway services.  As the names of the train stations will suggest, Windsor is close to the exclusive Eton College, and guests coming to visit can stay in our Windsor accommodation and find themselves within easy reach of the college, which is just across the River Thames.

For those coming to Windsor by road, the M4 is the usual route, as the motorway runs just to the north past Eton College and connects Central London with points to the west such as Reading, Swindon, Bristol and Cardiff in Wales. London Heathrow Airport is just the other side of the M25, making our Windsor apartments also easy to reach when coming in from outside of the UK.

Windsor Castle holds a dominant and commanding position in the centre of the town, so it will be hard for you to miss. Arranging a visit on a day when the changing of the guard is taking place can make for an enjoyable spectacle, and if you are a fan of historic houses, stately homes and their gardens, then Frogmore House and Gardens, Savill Garden and Dorney Court are all within a few miles of the town and well worth a visit. And the Windsor and the Royal Borough Museum in the town is also a must for history fans, as well as the Maidenhead Heritage Centre about 6 miles away.

Other nearby attractions include Legoland Windsor Resort – great with the kids – racing at Ascot and Thorpe Park. Windsor is also perfect for those who want to stay near London but prefer not to be in the city itself. London Paddington Railway Station can be reached in as little as 28 minutes from Windsor & Eton Central with a change at Slough.
