A county in the West Midlands, one of Warwickshire's towns, Stratford-Upon-Avon, was the birthplace of arguably the most famous Englishman of all time.
Warwickshire lies in the West Midlands, close to Birmingham, and is probably most famous as the birthplace of England’s best known playwright, William Shakespeare. The majority of the county’s population is centred in the north, towards the greater urban areas of Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield, though none of these lie within the county itself. The largest town is Nuneaton, with a population a little over 80,000. Possibly Warwickshire’s most well-known town is Royal Leamington Spa, whose popularity as a spa town led, as in other places, to a profusion of Regency architecture which today brings a lot of tourists to the town, and some of our serviced apartments in Warwickshire can be found there.
The M40 and the M6 motorways both run through Warwickshire, connecting the county to the south and the north of the country respectively. The West Coast Mainline is another way for business travellers using our Warwickshire serviced apartments to travel in and out of the county, as this major train line links London and Birmingham with points right up to the northwest and Scotland.
