Business prosperity in Stoke-on-Trent

When it comes to business, the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire economy has traditionally been production and manufacturing based. Bet 365 is another company which formed here in North Staffordshire, while a more recent success story is award-winning animation company Carse & Waterman Productions.

Amazon and FedEx have moved in too – thanks to the region’s location at the intersection of the West and East Midlands and North West giving it a head start for logistics and distribution. And the ceramics industry continues to have a hold, with both Biocomposites and Mantec Technical Ceramics attracted to the area because of its history.

In terms of its workforce, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire as a whole has a population of over 1.1 million.
