Southend-on Sea boasts its own airport. Sitting north of the town centre, it offers direct flights to fifty European and UK destinations, such as Amsterdam, Alicante, Bucharest, Malaga, and Paris.

There are three railway stations in town. Southend Central train station is the busiest and the location which takes holidaymakers to all the major attractions, but there is also Southend Victoria and Southend East.
Trains run regularly from Southend Central into Fenchurch Street in London while Southend Victoria takes commuters to Liverpool Street (both in around an hour).
Local bus lines include Line 1 from Shoeburyness (on the East side of Southend) to Rayleigh every 10 minutes. You’ll also get a train from Southend to Chelmsford every two hours. The X30 to Stansted Airport runs hourly.
