Riga International airport provides direct flights to over 100 European destinations, from Reykjavik to Larnaka. The flights are operated by both large national airlines and low-cost companies. The airport is used as the main hub for the national carrier AirBaltic and a charter airline SmartLynx Airlines.
Bus line 22 connects the airport to the city centre. Buses run every 10 to 20 minutes and the ride takes around 30 minutes. Tickets can be bought from the driver or from vending machines.
All train routes around Latvia are regional routes, there are no direct trains from Latvia to neighbouring countries. Riga central train station is the main hub for all railroad transport.
Travel to Estonia or Lithuania using regional lines. Travellers can change for a connecting train at the end of the Latvian leg of the journey at Valga or Daugavpils.
