At Situ, we take data protection very seriously, particularly for our accommodation users. Once you have become a potential accommodation user, we will collect and process your personal data to arrange suitable accommodation for you. We start by collecting your name, address, phone, and email. These may be business or private or both.
The data we have about you is stored in our email server and then entered into our systems.
During the process of finding you appropriate accommodation, we will send your data to an appropriate accommodation provider to arrange viewings. These providers are based all over the world and if you are looking for accommodation outside the EU/EEA then we will send your personal data to those companies.
Some countries require us to send a copy of your passport when booking accommodation. If this is the case, then we will request a copy of your passport and inform you where the copy will be sent.
We aim to ensure all of our accommodation suppliers sign “EU model contracts” which commit them to treat your personal data as carefully as we do. For more information, you can email [email protected].

We will hold your data for as long as you remain a contact for our mutual or future business, plus 3 years. If you are no longer the most appropriate contact, then please us know.
