About Finsbury

Overview

Both Rowans Bowl and Park Theatre are within moments of the district’s central transport hub, and that’s one of the appealing things about Finsbury Park and the accommodation there, that so much of what the area has to offer is conveniently packed into a small area.

Finsbury Park Railway Station is the heart of the Finsbury Park area, a major transport interchange not only for the railway, but for London Underground services and also for the bus services of Transport for London. The station is located close to the southern end of the public park, but over time Finsbury Park has come to refer to a much larger area bordering the boundaries of Harringay, Hackney and Islington. Although Finsbury Park’s rise as a popular area of London can in part be put down to the area being a little bit less expensive than some others, this, in turn, has given rise to a cultural scene in the area that is supported and amplified by regular events in Finsbury Park itself.

At the time of writing, Finsbury Park is due to play host to a number of summer festivals with big-name musical acts, and these sort of events have led to a wide variety of travellers seeking serviced apartments in Finsbury Park. In the past, Finsbury Park heard bands and musicians including Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, KISS, Limp Bizkit and the Arctic Monkeys, among others. But, for the vast majority of the year when the weather isn’t good enough for festivals, the park is host to a variety of sporting activities.

Finsbury Park Railway Station runs services from four different providers, while the underground station is on both the Victoria and Piccadilly lines. Just about close enough to the centre to be reasonably argued as ‘Inner London’, Finsbury Park is good for a short stay while you’re looking to enjoy the sights of the UK’s capital city. If you’re a football fan, Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium is just down the road and only one stop away on the Piccadilly Line.

Seven Sisters Road, a major London bus route, cuts through the heart of Finsbury Park and has a great variety of shops, as well as an incredible concentration of eateries close to the station. Indeed, those staying in city apartments in Finsbury Park will find it has among the greatest variety of takeout options just about anywhere. There are plenty of options for a night out in the area, too, with one of the most best being Rowans Bowl. All in one place you can enjoy boozy slushies, have a game of bowling and even take a turn on the karaoke. What more do you need for a night out? Well, if it’s culture you’re after, perhaps head to Park Theatre, one of London’s newest theatre venues.

Both Rowans Bowl and Park Theatre are within moments of the district’s central transport hub, and that’s one of the appealing things about Finsbury Park and the accommodation there, that so much of what the area has to offer is conveniently packed into a small area. So, if you are looking for an aparthotel in Finsbury Park, or perhaps an individual property for a larger group, Situ has plenty of options to check out in the area and across London.
