South West trains operate a comprehensive service to London Waterloo, taking one hour and fifty minutes. The line serves Southampton, Winchester and Basingstoke, among other southern towns and cities. Cross-county services also run to Reading, Oxford, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Manchester.
There are two bus operators in town. The services are particularly good, connecting visitors to the east and west.

London Gatwick is a 2 hrs drive. It's 2 hrs 43 mins by train or 4 hrs 15 mins if taking the coach. And, finally, Bristol Airport is a 1 hr 49 mins drive but 4 hrs by direct bus.
