Whether you’re pleasure or corporate travellers, a furnished extended stay accommodation in Billericay has plenty to offer, with various types of temporary housing and short term lets.
At about 28 miles east of Central London, Billericay is a good commuting distance for those wishing to stay in extended stay apartments in a smaller community, with plenty of countryside nearby. It is in the borough of Basildon, Essex, surrounded by plenty of woodland and areas of natural scientific interest. Yet, despite the semi-rural setting, Billericay has plenty of services and a busy high street, as well as good road and rail links that make serviced apartments in Billericay a tempting option.
The mainline railway station, right in the heart of the town, runs regular services into London Liverpool Street Station, typically taking in the region of about 30 minutes – an entirely acceptable commute time. Evenly located between the A12 and the A127, guests staying in our Billericay furnished short lets can be on the M25 in a little over 15 minutes.
Although a relatively small to perhaps medium-sized town of a little under 28,000 people, Billericay’s main High Street has an impressive range of shops – some usually only found in bigger locations – such as Boots, Argos and even a Waitrose, and these are mostly helpfully located along the same central stretch. There is also a good-sized Co-op food store over on Queens Park Avenue – a slightly more suburban location. With the occasional exception, bars and eateries are again mostly located on or close to the central stretch of the High Street.
If you’re looking to get out and about while enjoying short term accommodation in Billericay, then the area is well-known for its parks and nature reserves. Mill Meadows Nature Reserve is closest to the centre of Billericay, offering 90 acres of ancient meadow with an excellent diversity of wildflowers and small wildlife. Lake Meadows, with its man-made lake, is a little further out on the other side and is also an excellent place to relax.
Of course, parks and nature reserves are not everyone’s cup of tea, and another way to while away a bit of time when staying in our Billericay corporate accommodation is the Cater Museum on the High Street, a small but interesting museum that has free entry – although they do welcome donations. Also worth a visit is the Barleylands craft village a little to the south of town, with a variety of galleries and studios, and next door you will find the Imperial Bird of Prey Academy, which has a variety of experiences available for visitors.
If you’re looking to stay in shape while in our Billericay corporate housing, then it is quite well looked after for a town of its size. You will find a Pure Gym on Radford Way, close to the High Street, and also Agila Gym on Bebington Close, next to Lake Meadows. Stock Brook Country Club, just to the north of Billericay, has an impressive 27-hole championship golf course, a health club and is also available for corporate events. Or, even more relaxing, Spa Cottage lies just off the High Street and has a range of spa therapies.
